The NNLS Destitute Asylum Seekers Drop in provides much-needed support to asylum seekers and their children, who are often in a desperate situation after fleeing from their home country to escape persecution. We depend entirely on voluntary donations.
Because of the large numbers of asylum seekers that we are currently supporting, clients are now coming to the Drop in bi-monthly and receive a £40 supermarket voucher and £10 travel money each visit and supporting all clients has a monthly cost of around £15,000.
- Rent space for our monthly Drop in sessions which provide a range of support for asylum seekers, from home-cooked food to legal signposting as well as medical advice
- Buy supplies to help the asylum seekers, such as underwear, scarves, gloves and toiletries and receive donations of sanitary products.
- £50 a month will meet the cost of one client’s supermarket voucher and travel expenses
- £1500 will buy underwear and cold weather socks and gloves and toiletries for around 600 clients

You can also make regular and one-off donations by donating online here. If you are a taxpayer then by completing the Gift Aid section we are able to add 25% to your donation.
