The NNLS Destitute Asylum Seekers Drop in provides much-needed support to asylum seekers and their children, who are often in a desperate situation after fleeing from their home country to escape persecution. We depend entirely on voluntary donations.
During the pandemic the number of asylum seekers we are supporting with £25 monthly supermarket vouchers has grown to 970 at a cost of £24,250 a month.
We urgently need funds so we can continue to:
Provide destitute asylum seekers with a monthly supermarket voucher and travel expenses to come to the Drop in
Rent space for our monthly Drop in sessions which provide a range of support for asylum seekers, from home-cooked food to legal signposting
Buy supplies to help the asylum seekers, such as underwear, scarves and gloves
It is of enormous assistance to the Drop in to receive support through Pinneberg regular, monthly donations, as well as one-off donations and funding from charitable trusts.
£25 a month will meet the cost of one client’s supermarket voucher and travel expenses
£12,500 will meet the cost of one of our monthly Drop in sessions for 500 clients
£3,000 will buy underwear and cold weather socks and gloves for 500 clients
